Jakarta DPRD's Commission asked, school renovation should be coupled with the procurement of supporting furniture of students and teachers' teaching and learning activities (KBM) in the classroom.

"We encourage it must be done coupled with school renovation to be executed in parallel," expressed Syahrial, Chairman of Jakarta DPRD's Commission E, Monday (11/6).
Commission E Ensures School Renovation to Be On TimeAccording to him, from more than 200 schools that have been renovated since 2014-2017, some of them are not equipped with proper condition.
"Hence we recommend the Education Dept.'s budget to be more prioritize schools that really need furniture," he expressed.
In the meantime, Jakarta Education Dept. Head, Sopan Adrianto explained, his dept. stopped its procurement since 2014-2016, as it involved a legal case. Nevertheless, he ensured, it has been re-implemented starting this year thus students' KBM needs are met.
"Now it is time to start. The procurement and renovation of school buildings must go hand in hand," he closed.
